Week Long Gemstone Cabochon Giveaway

I haven't done anything fun on the blog for awhile. I was thinking today what great rock people I have met and how they have been so generous to my newbie self and it occurred to me that I can pay it forward on my blog. Most of you make jewelry and/or love rocks, so it's a natural fit.

Starting on Friday July, 20 2012, the giveaway will start. It will run straight through to the next Friday, July 27.

This is what I'll do:  (This will be much more simple than the last time.) Each day, I will highlight the rock to be given away. Leave a comment. I will put the names of those who commented in a hat or bowl and have my granddaughter draw a name each day, I'll even take a picture of my darling model doing it. :) The winner will win the rock of the day. To be fair, I will award more than one rock to one person, if that person's name is drawn more than once. I won't penalize a lucky person. I will announce the winner's name on the blog the following day. The winner can then email me an address. (my email addy is in my profile)

UPDATE:  Please post your comment to the day's blog post to be entered for that day's drawing.

Also, I will be adding stones to the grand prize at random through the week.

On the eighth day, Friday the 27th, I will highlight one last rock that will be given to one of the 7 previous winners. So, even if you don't want a particular stone of the day, enter anyway for a chance at the last one- You'll like it, I'm sure. It is something you probably have never seen before.

I will mail all of them at one time on Saturday the 28th. This way I don't have to fight the post office each day and I can combine the grand winner's package. This will be open to all countries. Just be sure you can get a rock from a US address with no custom's problems. The good news is, I can mark this as a gift. :)

Here are the rocks. I won't say anything now other than that they are in the order that I remember cabbing them and each one was cabbed by me with some rough that was given to me. All are good enough to use in jewelry. Some are more valuable than others. A few are rare. I would like to add that I would appreciate any feedback on my work after you get your cab. :)

They are all looking pretty stunning!

I've never actually wrapped a cab before so if I were to win one it would make it doubly special!

    Thank you for sharing

    1. Hi there, Susan :) Thank you for reading!! As for generosity.... I feel it isn't nearly as generous as people have been to me to have given me so much rough. I have been really blessed. I can't give every reader some, so I figured this was a good way to do it. :)

    1. Hi Denise :) Thank you very much for saying that! These are good quality or I wouldn't let them go, but I am getting faster and better each time at the grinder. Here's hoping that practice really does make perfect. :)
