A Few Simple Wraps

I had been doing so much with my rocks, that I thought I was being derelict in my duties to wrap them. But, I had been doing a few quick wraps here and there. After I got them all together, I realized that I had done quite a few.  :) Here they are.

Today-- more cutting.

Thank for looking and have a great week!

  1. Lovely pieces!!! I really love how you make those little wire prongs. They're elegant, but deceptively simple-looking.

(Have tried to do them before... it was a total flop!)

    1. Thanks Sarah :) I love prongs, too- not so much making them but I like the look of them and they can sure hold in a stone.

  2. I love the prongs too. I have not had good success with making prongs either. I've seen a tool that is for making prongs. Do you use the special tool to make them? This could be your next tutorial. :) Love your work. These are simple and elegant!

    1. A tool for making prongs? Hmmmm..... yes, a flatnose pliers. :) That's all I use. I don't know if I could do a tute for them, I kinda fly by the seat of my pants every time I make them. LOL!

  3. Dale "cougar" Armstrong talks about prong pliers. They are on Wire-sculpture.com website. They come in 3 sizes.

    1. Hmmm, I had to go and check that out. I saw them, but they were sold out. I didn't see her talking about them, though. I just use my regular flatnose pliers. Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to keep an eye out for those.
